I started out my journey of website building and blogging a little scared and overwhelmed. There is a lot of technical skill needed to make a website look beautiful. I’m so excited to be able to take all the skills I’ve learned over the years and help YOU!

HOW DOES SHE KNOW ABOUT THIS STUFF?
I’ve always been a creative person —from quilting to cake decorating— I’ve dabbled in almost all of it.
In 2010 I began running a blog for our church on Blogger. I was hooked! I enjoyed finding new themes and changing the look, adding content, and seeing what I could create in the digital sphere.
During this time I gained the necessary skills through trial and error and the University of Google and YouTube. I spent time learning everything I could about the various computer languages it took to make a website beautiful as well as search engine optimization and social media marketing.
I continued experimenting with Blogger and in 2013 I got my first web design client. I was so nervous but excited to take everything I’d been learning and use it to help a local business. I also realized at that time that my local clients needed SEO and social media to stay relevant in this day and age.
In 2015, I finally took the leap into WordPress and there’s no looking back! I didn’t know what I was missing out on all those years of working exclusively on Blogger. However, everything I learned laid a great foundation for transitioning into WordPress and also Wix.

I’ve since helped many local businesses with web design, SEO and social media management. Additionally, as side projects, I’ve built and monetized various blog sites, directory sites, and YouTube channels — all while marketing with SEO and social media.
Not everyone has the technical know-how or has time to learn via trial and error… especially when they have a business to run!
Today, I’m continuing to help Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha, and Marion IA area businesses with their websites, search engine optimization and social media management!
