If you are someone who owns multiple businesses and run them out of the same location, you might be wondering if you can list your businesses on Google with the same address.
So, can two businesses have the same address on Google My Business? You cannot have two businesses with the same address on Google My Business. If you try to do this, you will get a "duplicate location" error. For the most part, all legitimate businesses should have their own contact information (location, phone number, etc.)

How to Get Your Businesses on Google My Business if They Have the Same Address
Unfortunately, there's no real easy way to do this. All of these options are going to take some work and might cost you some extra money. But Google is very particular about making sure that each business is legit and running out of it's own address.
Can I just get a PO Box for Google My Business?
This would be a great, inexpensive solution... if Google allowed it. You cannot use a PO box as your business address on Google My Business. The reason Google does not allow this is because it's too easy. Too easy for scammers to create a fake business and take people for their money.
Using a Virtual Address or Co-working Space for Google My Business
This is another option that is unfortunately against the rules. Additionally, businesses that don't serve customers at a physical location but have a service-area instead cannot use a virtual office unless that office is staffed during business hours. According to Google themselves,
If your business rents a physical mailing address but doesn't operate out of that location, also known as a virtual office, that location is not eligible for a Business Profile on Google.
Many modern businesses rent co-working space as a way to save money and keep their business/home life separate. You CAN use a co-working space address if you meet the following requirements,
Businesses can't list an office at a co-working space unless that office maintains clear signage, receives customers at the location during business hours, and is staffed during business hours by your business staff. (emphasis added)
So, if you can't use PO boxes, virtual offices, or co-working space (unless you meet the requirements), what can you do?
Getting Suite Numbers for Your Business to Use on Google My Business
The best and only way to list multiple businesses from one location on Google My Business is to get separate suite numbers for each business.
Buildings with multiple suite numbers technically have completely different addresses for each suite. This means you can set up a separate Google My Business profile for each suite number.
Please note that you must also have completely separate mailboxes for each suite number. Even if you own all of the businesses operating from the suites in one building, you still need to have separate mailboxes where mail can be delivered.
If you want to get suite numbers for your business location, contact your local post office. You may be required to pay a small fee.
